Shack-a-Thon Sponsors

Dear Shack-a-Thon Sponsor,

We are the University of Central Florida Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter, a non-profit organization that raises money and builds homes for people in need. During the three years we have been active at UCF, we have had many accomplishments including being named UCF’s New Organization of the Year, six out of state Collegiate Challenge volunteer trips, and have held annual advocacy events including our Act! Speak! Build! Week. Our next goal is to sponsor a Habitat Home that will be built and funded entirely by UCF students. In order to bring us closer to this goal, on February 17, 2013, we will be hosting an event called Shack-A-Thon.

Shack-A-Thon is an annual event sponsored by the UCF Habitat for Humanity campus chapter. Our goal is to bring different student groups and community organizations together for a few days of fun and fundraising. Each group will build a shack with limited time and supplies while a festival of activities entertains participants and spectators. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Habitat at UCF’s student built Habitat home, directly impacting the issue of homelessness and substandard housing in the Central Florida area.

In order to make this event possible we are asking for your help through sponsorship in our fundraising event. With your business’ contribution we can ensure that Shack-a-Thon becomes a fun filled event that can truly make a difference in our area. Events like this are held by different Habitat campus chapters at universities all over the country and have been known to raise in excess of $15,000 in one night! Since this is only the third Shack-a-Thon at UCF, your group has a unique opportunity to help shape an event that will become a UCF tradition and something the community will look forward to for years to come.

Thank you in advance and we look forward to your partnership.

Sincerely,

Thomas Anzelone & Casey Haff
